Introductions

Welcome! I started writing this book blog for one simple reason - I genuinely enjoy reading and writing.
By reading we learn new things. Reading can also be an act of meditation. It's a process of intentionally slowing down to focus our minds on one thing. Writing about books then is the outpouring of this meditative process and then reviewing them which adds an element of critical examination.

In my reviews I include some background on the author, highlights of the plot (no spoilers!), and a closer analysis of the book's main characters, style, and themes.

About Me: I live and work in the LA area with my beautiful wife and two cute kids. I earned my Bachelors in English Literature and my Masters in Applied Linguistics. I am a high school English teacher in the city of Ventura.
